Pickfords was the deserving winner of the ‘Special Award for Creative Application of Technology’ at the Relocate Awards 2011, which was held at London’s Institute of Directors on Thursday 12th May.

Pickfords has been recognised following its adoption of the destiny® digital pen, which has allowed the company to make significant improvements to the operational effectiveness of its 60 surveyors in both residential and corporate services.
The advances include a streamlined and more controlled survey process, faster processing of forms to speed up notifications and quotations, reduction of administration burdens and improvements to customer service.
The award celebrates the technical innovation and modern processes which Pickfords has implemented which, in turn, have had positive affects in many areas of the business. The Relocate judges called it; “a great new product, based on technology, which saves time and money, to the benefit of Pickfords and assignees”.
The destiny® digital pen and paper solution, based on Anoto technology, facilitates simple, fast data collection and transmission from the field. The speed of response is critical when dealing with short notice bookings, and the digital pen technology has helped Pickfords overcome this by raising all quotations at least 1 day sooner. This has contributed towards prompt invoicing and payment being collected sooner.
