Fastdox™

How does it work?

fastdox™ is a personal productivity tool for business individuals as well as a business process enhancement system for small and large organisations.
If you know how to print a document and write with a pen, you already know how to use fastdox™.

STEP 1 - Receive

Create or receive any document in any format (like Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, PDF)

STEP 2 - Print

Print it from any application simply by selecting the icon for the fastdox™ printer driver. A unique pattern of microscopic dots is added as it’s printed using Anoto Functionality™, and an image of the document is automatically stored on your computer.

STEP 3 - Write

Write on the printed document with a digital pen. It automatically records your handwriting in its memory.

STEP 4 – Dock or transmit

The recorded ink is downloaded and matched with the image of the original document, by either docking the pen in it’s cradle or transmitting via your Bluetooth mobile device.

STEP 5 – New PDF

Your fastdox™ software instantly creates a new, exact copy of your handwritten document in PDF format, just as if you had scanned or photocopied it.

STEP 6 - Manage

Now you’ve got the data back in your system in electronic format, you can save, send on, archive, copy, delete or retrieve whenever you want. You can even assign automatic actions as you print, to direct what happens to the document once you’ve written on it.

Automatic Action

Once ink is applied, the resulting PDF is automatically sent, stored, managed, or used by any software application based on custom actions that are designated at print time - including assisted data entry with PaperView, or further handwriting processing using partner software.

Compatibility

The system works with documents printed from any Windows application. This includes desktop PC applications as well as Internet-enabled applications that run in browsers. Digital copies are created in the common PDF format, so they are easily used with almost any information system.

Multi-user environments

fastdox™ is easily configured for networked environments. Documents can be printed with one computer, and then written upon with multiple pens which are docked at other computers. Handwriting will be automatically updated on the digital copies so they always match the physical paper.
You can even write on documents months after they were originally used. The new ink will be automatically added to the digital copies.

Pre-printed forms

Do you use a high volume of forms? There’s no need to print them all on a laser printer. Just send the layout, and we will print them for you. All you then need to do is distribute them for use.

Customisation

Want to add digital paper functionality to your software?
Or to automatically export fastdox™ documents into another software application or information system? Or even have us create a private branded version for your company? We have flexible partner opportunities for almost any business situation.
